BAR/196 grass mat with road (1 Viewer)

Just got this mat in today and really like it...think it looks very realistic. I set up some of my K&C pieces with it for display. Has anyone gotten the desert mat, and if so... what do you think?

I have two and just love 'em for quick set-ups . Very realistic, and you just roll 'em up when you're done. The desert is especially nice, and I have the road also! Post some pics when you get it.

Those setups look great... also like the background photos. I think I will have to get a desert mat as well. I have some K&C Afrika Korps and British
8th Army pieces that would look good on it. Thanks for sharing the photos.

Is that the desert mat Mike? It looks like it has a lot of grass, which could also be a fall or early wheat set up?

I have that mat. It really looks like scub desert and not a wheat field.

The is some green scrub in it, so it's not like the "Sahara", more like a generic scrubland or arid area! I enjoy it, and I know you woul also Bill, especially for a parking area for a Spitfire in almost any summer theatre.

Thanks Mike, now that sounds like a plan. First I was thinking some battlefields in 1809-13 Spain but I now think I will have to try one or two of these. Next to find some trees and hedges?
