Lovely picture with new Jacobite standard and Barrells Regt. on the TM Terrain Ad in Toy Soldier Collector for June/July.

I have no way of transferring the picture but maybe Mark the Viking from TM could upload it as it's there Ad or Peter Reuss or another dealer /forum member. The Jacobite standard is in the hand of the falling Scot seen as a grey master sculpt at the london show. The flag I believe will be again resin as John said its reduced weight allowed him to do a more dramatic sculpt. The regimental standard is carried by a defending red coat and is slighlty obscured in the Ad.

Wow, what can be seen of that Barrels Regt. Ensign really looks fantastic - great dramatic pose:)
Thanks for uploading the pic guys!

Beautiful. There look to be at least 4 unissued figures in that melee. -- Al

And a couple of closer uppers!!

I am not sure about that! As far as I can see, there is only the Barrels Regt. Ensign and the fallen Jacobite flagbearer - if you are referring to the JR-17 (Combat set #4), I believe it has just been released;)

My mistake. I looked closer and the flag bearers are the only new figures. -- Al

The Banner held by the fallen Jacobite Standard bearer seems to be another from the Cameron of Lochiel's Regiment (this one with the family crest)!
So the new figure must be representing a MacLachlan of Coruanan, as they were the hereditary standard-bearers of the Chiefs of Clan Cameron!

The Highlander flagbearer was first shown when the Gordons were introduced in London...

the flag is beautiful...really nice...

You can see both flagbearers a bit better

These are absolutely stunning figures. Whatever the flags are made of, seems to be really working. The Colours have a visual lightness, movement and drape to them - A nice step forward from the heavier straight out flag presentation of in some of the early sets that John did a few years ago.

Stuart Reid states in his book ''Like Hungry Wolves'', that Barrell's regimental colour was unusual in it not having the small Union flag canton in the upper corner.

Here is one more of the bearer...a little different angle...I have seen the King's Colours...and it's even prettier than this piece...

These flagbearers are simply grand. Very animated and colorful. The resin flags are very realistic and drape much better than the heavy metal flag, and they don't unbalance the figure. Can't wait for them. -- Al

Great flags and figures!!! Cant wait to get these also. :) I just love johns Jacobite series its really beautiful and full of action.
