I just came across a mention that Barzo is going to unveil his new playset at the convention this weekend. It appears to be based on the Daniel Boone TV show that starred Fess Parker. If this is all correct, this'll be a great playset - well for those of us who remember that fabulous show.

I remember reading that Fess was one of the first actors who had a stake in their character, in terms of being able to profit from or authorise the merchandising. I'm pretty sure he's still alive (growing wine somewhere?) and it seems he has participated in this new venture by Barzo.

Well done those men!

I saw this set at the OSTN it is a very nice set. For every set you purchase you get a Fess Parker autograph. At the Barzo room they said Fess Parker was 84 years old. An add on set is a fort.

Some has already posted a few pics of the set on here, can't seem to find the thread though.

Great playset! Fess Parker, huh? Is there a picture of him with the set? 84 he must be doing something right. Good for him!

Great looking fort! Anyone wanna buy some trains?

Great set for the plastic collectors, I bought it, comes with an autographed picture of Fess Parker 4 Character figures and excellent accessories, not to mention the log cabins, block house and new Cherokee Indians and the various pioneers. Oh yeah, there is also a new pioneers figure, captain of the guards or something on that order. Plus if you so desire you can purchase a really nice fort that is modular and a fortified abbey for you Robin Hood fans.

$200.00, not sure how much the additional pieces you can add to it are though. I think $29.00, but I'm not sure.

I saw a few people carrying these so I think they were popular.

Can we have some more pictures? Especially of the buildings.:D:D

I certainly want these sets for my FIW/AWI collections. On my Christmas list { as if I need another " dollhouse" as my wife likes to call forts and such} as well as the Awesome castle and expansion sets.Castle pcs look great right out of the box, but these sets is just cries out to be painted.Gorgeous made in the USA too! Top notch all the way.

Gosh, that sounds like an insult to the man cave. Dollhouse? We don't play with dolls. We're hairy beer drinking manly men.

I collect very few plastic but this is one cool set and I love Fess Parker, I remember as a child first seeing Davy Crockett King of the Wild Frontier as a child I was forever scarred when I learned that Davy died at the Alamo.

It certainly is an insult to the cave and it's mutant unsophisticated growling inhabitants.Like I said, My wife said it, just to dig at me. I dont care , much.
I guess she equates the toy soldier / man thing to women and Barbies, beanie babies ect .
I do hermit at the cave too much sometimes. Wonder why that is?

I'll have those forts though by dang!!!!
