WWII is the only period I collect and I heard the rumors of a WWII set a while back, PARTISANS & SS CAVALRY?

ANY chance of just ONE set of WWII?

I have no information on when or if Barzso is working towards a WWII set , but the according to Nick at TSSD , the TSSD/Barzso Stalingrad playset is being reworked with new buildings and accessories . And in a side note , in the past Barzso had done large detailed foam WWII pontoons for setting up a makeshift bridge . //// ,,,,,,

I read on TSSD site that they were redoing the Battle for Berlin playset with a new building. Has there been talk of redoing the Stalingrad playset too?

CTS, TSSD, and Conte, aren't enough? :wink2:

"HELL NO"
Could you imagine how fantastic it would be if BARZO did a set of *Battle of Berlin "GERMAN VOLKSTRUM"?!
That's the sort of subject that they excel in!
Something like "Bedford Forest's Cavalry Raiders" I can see that, so I could easily see them doing an awesome set of TITO'S PARTISANS!!

No other company out there would do it better than them.

TSSD might have to think of what's most popular. The partisans might just be a good set if more generic to all of Europe.

You should learn to convert figures and then you could make your own partisans! I,m sure there are enough parts out there to make your partisans. Those Conte G.I. sets alone are enough for endless G.I. conversions, I,m not even a WWII Guy and I made about a 100 different conversions from that set just because they were so easy to convert and had so many parts to work with! There are enough German figures out there also where you could make a real lot of good conversions and build up your German army real fast just with whats out there already.
I was like you years back being very frustrated at the lack of figure poses and what available and I started converting figures and was able to fill lots of gaps in my napoleonic collection by making those missing figures out of parts of other figures,at first they looked crude but as time went on my skills improved and now I,m able to fill some of those gaps in my collection.
Give it a try its a fun hobby all in its own. start with simple head swops and work up from there! Some times just a twist of a head can make a figure look just like a new one. Then when you get better at it you can move into 2 part putties and recreating your own parts and then the skies the limit then!^&cool

Here are a couple of threads I did on converting figures and some of the G.I.s that I converted.

I'm a full time artist and sculpture who happens to make fantastic conversions, just making conversions is not my point.
Your rebuttal is dismissive and almost offensive.

*All CIVIL WAR figures are to be cancelled and the official answer is "No more CIVIL WAR sets, let them build conversions"
This would start a CIVIL WAR like RIOT ant the next big show.

There's NO THRILL, like an ambitious new set, in your FAVORITE PERIOD, by the RIGHT COMPANY.
THAT'S MY POINT!

Nice work, my figures are about as good as yours. When I make something, even when amazing, I don't get the same thrill as the surprise of the real thing?

Wow.

Sorry, but I didn't see anything dismissive or offensive about what Tim said, he was just trying to be helpful in filling a need you see in the collecting world; short of them being done, his solution seems like a good one, although maybe not for everyone.

Welcome to the forum too by the way.

And my suggestion is switch to decaf.

Welcome to the forum by the way! Glad to hear there is another fellow figure converter here on the forum but whats with the civil war????? New sets in plastic are always welcome and I said nothing about not wanting any new WWII sets made???? or any other sets for that matter, I only suggested WHY WAIT! Now that I know your an artist/sculptor that,s more the reason more the reason for me to suggest to you to give a try at doing some of the gaps in your collection a try. I,ve used many WWII parts in my Napoleonic conversions and transformed various plastic figures into something totally different so I welcome any new plastic sets not just Napoleonic. I,ve bought whole sets of figures just to chop up for parts at times.
Here is just one example of what I,m talking about! Winter Russian Napoleonics From Conte WWII and other plastics, why wait for them to be made if you have the skill to make it happen now? A new set of Winter Russians would also be great but I have mine now!^&cool

Always love to see your conversions. Eventhough I don't do Napoleon War stuff, those are cool. I wouldn't mind some new WW2 G.I.'s, Germans, Japs, and Marines. Just more material for conversions.

Wonderful conversions Tim. I converted some Conte Civil War this summer. Used metal parts from my own castings. Lots of neat troops. I just can't seem to pick up a paint brush!

I hear you Scott!!! I got a burst of painting energy and managed to get paint on a few figures this week but I have PILES!!! Of half painted figures sitting around and just can,t seam to find the time or energy to get them done.
When you do get around to painting them up I love to see some pics!^&cool

The Plastic General drinks strong coffee and wants to go to WAR!!!
I have filled many of the WWII gaps with great conversions, I'll post them as soon as I get a Photo Bucket account.
I enjoy my conversions the most when I put them away and forget about them till I re-discover them months later.
