Picked this up from a CA vendor via Ebay:

I like it because the shelf spacing is "about" right for storing 60mm figures (and small vehicles in a like scale). I believe that it was $92 with free shipping. Seems quite the bargain. Only downside is that it wouldn't leap onto the wall for me. I used L-shaped braces to mount the case to vertical wall studs at its base, and anchored it at the top with molly-bolts. Bugger's not coming down anytime soon.

That's a nice display case!

When I saw your thread's title, I thought you might have meant a display case for an individual baseball. They're not bad, for displaying one or two figures.

If you like the case you have there, you might want to have a look at your nearest Michael's arts & crafts store. Michael's has a good selection of display cases, in various sizes and various styles, that can be used for displaying toy soldiers. I have several of their cases to display a football. They're about 8"x8"x14", with glass around the sides, front and top, and a mirrored back. They can hold a group of soldiers or even a small diorama. I've also got a couple of their display cases for baseball bats. They're oblong, naturally, lined with a velvet-like material, with a glass front, and they open from the back. And Michael's has an ongoing 40% discount on most items in the store. HobbyLobby, too, carries display cases of various types. AC Moore doesn't, though, at least, the AC Moore stores around here don't stock display cases of any kind.

Prost!

Thanks Brad, I’m always looking for ways to store and display my treasures. To that end, I’m out for enclosures with a small footprint relative to their useful capacity. It also helps if I can find room in my study to store the storage! At this point, that means making the most of wall space. Hence, my interest in the “baseball cube” cabinet. I believe that it’s intended to hold 48 of those acrylic cubes for display. I’ve got it stuffed with about 80 figures and a few vehicle replicas. I’m happy enough with the results that I’ll likely buy at least one more, and perhaps something slightly deeper for my remaking vehicles. Thank goodness for walls to hang stuff on!

Thanks again and I appreciate the heads-up on Michaels,

-Moe
