I have scanned the six color pages of the only Bastion Models sales brochure that I have seen. The A range ends with Set No. A.27 CHASSEURS A PIED 1900 in the brochure, but I am aware of this range going to at least Set No. A.65 GORDON HIGHLANDERS 1899. The Boxer Rebellion B range ends with Set No. B.18 ROYAL NAVY in the brochure, but this range goes to Set No. B.25 JAPANESE INFANTRY IN ACTION 1900.

Since this brochure was published, Bastion changed the Zulu War series Set Nos. A.12 EAST KENT REGIMENT, A.13 SOUTH WALES BORDERERS, and A.14 SOMERSET LIGHT INFANTRY to A.12 SOUTH WALES BORDERERS, A.13 ROYAL FLYING CORPS 1918, and A.14 GERMAN INFANTRY FIRING 1915. The EAST KENT and SOMERSET sets could now be numbered A.46 and A.47 or somewhere in the four sets between A.57 and A.60 which are unknown to me.

That is a great help with IDing figures that are loose. Also love the Boxers with the gun!

Thanks for posting

Dave

Hi John,

Here they are:

A.7 Prussian Infantry 1900

A.8 Spanish Infantry 1900

B.8 French Sailors 1900

B.10 Russian Sailors 1900

I assume that you have photos of the sets from eBay, if not let me know and I'll send you the photos.

Mike

Hi Mike

Thanks for the info very helpful. I bought four lots on buy it now on eBay, the contents of the four lots were:

Lot 1. 3 French sailors, 1 Russian sailor £10
Lot 2. Ditto. £10
Lot 3. Prussian infantry 3 soldiers 1 officer £12
Lot 4. Spanish infantry 3 soldiers 1 officer £10

I thought that was a good buy, but not sure of current Bastion prices. With the help of your catalog and the pictures on eBay I was able to identify the figures. Thanks again.

Regards John

Some additional help in identifying Bastion Models toy soldiers: The early production sets had thin bases while at some point for the higher numbered sets, they switched to a thicker base. When I first saw the later, I was not sure they were Bastion, even though the sculps looked like they were, the thick bases made me wonder if they were really Bastion. Attached are two photos illustrating the two types of bases. From left to right, Set Nos. A.27 CHASSEURS A PIED, A.17 FRENCH LINE INFANTRY, A.49 BOSNIAN JAEGERS, and A.62 AUSTRO-HUNGARIAN GERMAN INFANTRY.
