I have 3 good titles to suggest for anyone interested in Bataan. 1-"Bataan: Our Last Ditch" written by John Whitman. Published in 1990 by Hippocrene this is an excellent study of the whole campaign from outbreak to surrender but does not cover the death march. 2-"Bataan: The March of Death" by Stanley Falk published in 1962 by Norton. Briefly covers the battle but concentrates on the surrender and following death march. Very vivid and captivating, a good read. 3- "Death March: The Survivors of Bataan" by Donald Knox done in 1981 by Harcourt-Brace-Jovanovich. This is an important oral history that covers all, including the captivity to the end of the war. All these books are well worth your time. -- lancer
