Okay, Sorry, not exactly a diorama, yet.
Since I was not able to attend the big show this week I consoled myself by assembling a 12 gun Napoleonic Battery of Russian Heavy guns and Howitzers.
x 8 12pounders and 4 Licorne Howitzers { Howitzers on the flanks} with 48 crewmen in assorted firing and loading poses.

I cooked the molds over the last few weeks and a buddy came by a couple times and helped me do the spin casting. I'd pour the molds and he would remove the castings so it went a LOT faster than doing it myself.

So, The parts were all in their respective clear little tubbs on the shelf beckoning me and I did a few here and there over the last 4 days and finished a few hours ago.Now the hard part, painting them!

Have to give it a rest for now.Eventually , they'll be painted and I'll post some real diorama images. For now, I just wanted to share.

When you get up to 20 guns you,ll have enough for the great redout at borodino!!!
Now you need to start on some french cuirassiers and some saxon cavalry to storm the redout.:p I can,t wait to see the great diorama thats going to make when you get all those painted.
I can just see it now a great redout built out of pink foam with all those cannon and the big ditch and wolf holes to slow up the cavalry attack.:D
GREAT STUFF!!!!

Furbar, That battery will certainly provide more than just a "wiff of grapeshot". Don't forget mounted French Caribiners if you're doing the Great Redoubt. Really looking forward to seeing more of your work.
