Battle for America BBC2 Tuesday 16th March 9.00 pm

I was just flicking through the TV guide before work this morning and to my surprise noticed that there is a documentary on presented by Dan Snow called the Battle for America about the French and Indian War and the Battle of Quebec.

We NEVER get documentaries on FIW or AWI so really looking forward to it! :D

This one looks new to me. The was a F and I series a few years back on US TV with good sized groups of reenactors doing the battle scenes. Hope to read your review on this new documentary.

I looked up Dan Snow on NETFLIX and am going to watch some of his earlier documentaries.

He recently finished a series on the History of the Royal Navy, very interesting indeed.

I've seen the documentary and thought it was quite good although it was very much focused on the British aspect.

They did an aerial fly over view point of Quebec and it was good to see the geography of the place and the scale of the cliffs leading upto the Plains of Abraham.

Overall 7/10 not enough extras for the fighting shots, but worth a watch.
