I was going to buy "Hell's Gate" by Douglas Nash until I saw it was $70. Sounds like an interesting battle on the Eastern Front 1944 that I had never heard of. Just curious if anyone has read this one and/or have any information on the battle.

Combat,
I have this book as well. Not ony does it contains some great pictures, but it doesn't skimp on the text either. This book is packed with information. And a bit oversize from "standard" hardbacks. I tried to get this book on ebay a year ago and it went for $300 or so. It was recently reprinted. (Thank goodness!) I hadn't heard of the battle either until I saw this book. $70 may be a bit steep, but considering what you get, it is worth it. Here's a link to a couple of sample pages and a blurb. http://www.rzm.com/books/rzm/hellsgate.cfm
If you have any kind of interest in the Eastern Front, check it out. Being a bit of an Eastern Front novice, I took a chance on it myself and am glad I did.
Have a good one!
Justin
