Last weekend, I had the pleasure to attend the 250th reenactment of the Battle of Fort Ticonderoga. This was the biggest and best French and Indian War reenactment that I have ever seen. Here are some of the pictures that I took. This first group of images are from the Friday night reenactment. The scenario was the death of Lord Howe and it took place in a park in the town of Ticonderoga. I will be posting more images thought the week. Enjoy!

Thanks for posting the fine pictures and report on the reenactment. I went to one there in 2002 and wanted to go this year but my buddy said gas is too high and we decided too late to go. I really enjoy the Lake George area. Leadmen

Great pictures. I can attest that it was hot and humid there on Friday. So anyone who participated in those outfits was a real trooper. BTW: the Gettysburg reenactment is this weekend.

Yes, it was very hot and humid all weekend and they fought in the rain on Saturday. I can’t wait for Gettysburg this weekend. I think the official web site said that they are expecting to have 500 horses!!! Two great back to back reenactments. Life doesn’t get much better.

Hello Bryan,
thanks for the pictures. That must have been quite an experience.
I shot a muzzle loader once and can only imagine how it sounds when 40 or 50 of them are fired at a time.
A pleasure to see this.

I agree. Excellent pics. I am fascinated by this period in history. Would love to attend that event one day.

By chance about four years ago, I visited the fort with my Father and a small reenactment was going on. It was fun to walk through the camp and the fort with the participants. I try to attend reeanctment events in the Chicagoland area.
