George.

This just has to be your best set up yet! The terrain is awesome, especially the jungle trees and the buildings are just brill as well. Did you make all this yourself?

Jeff

Jeff,
Thanks for the praise, I'm really happy about the way this one turned out, it really captures the "look" of the actual battle, short afew more trees.

The tennis court and clubhouse were scratch built for me by David from TM Terrain from the Uk, he does brilliant stuff. The hills and the forest area in the foreground were built by a fellow from the Uk as well, all the trees are hand made. The village, two bungalows and the defensive positions were all done by Jeff Nall of Battleworks Studios here in the US of A. I painted all the Japanese tanks and most of the figures, the rest were done by a painter in New Zealand another in the Uk.

General Slim is one of my personal favorites, I read somewhere that he was a man of outstandingly clear mind, imbued all those who served under him in the 14th army with confidence. He passed on in 1970....................

Bill Slim was the best Allied general of the war. He beat the Japanese in the jungle, where they were supposed to be invincible, with far less assistance and publicity than any of the better known allied generals.

Thanks Brad, my complements on your recent use of restrait not once, but twice recently around these part and I think you know the two instances cough.......cough..."camels"........... I am........cough.......cough......"Pacific Theater"................. referring to...........

That's really a great set up. I enjoyed looking at it. The scenery and buildings look very realistic for a tropical setting. I assume that's 20mm. Probably could be done for 54mm?

JR,
Thanks for the positive feedback, I really enjoyed setting this one up; half the battle so to speak it to get it just the way I want it to look, which can be difficult at times.

As you pointed out, this is a 20mm display. Don't see why you can't do it in 54mm, the only problem is aside from K & C and Figarti Japanese, who makes 54mm metal Chindits; the Commonwealth forces in this display are a mix of figures with steel helmets and Aussie hats, noone aside from Airfix plastics make Aussies...........
