Just saw this old gem of a movie again from my childhood days. It starred Yul Brynner as a Tito Partisan, Curt Jurgens as (what else) German general, Franco Nero as a disillusioned Italian fighting for the Partisans, Sylvia Koscina (ahh...).
The plot has the partisans fighting the Italians, Germans and Chetniks (rather wild-looking mounted horsemen). It was sponsored by the Yugoslavian Govt then, with the Russian Sergei Bondarchuk (War and Peace Director) involved.
