Hi Guys,

On another thread the question was posted "Can EA figures be utilized to help defend Malaya and Singapore?"

Obviously i am biased... but I think they can - British and Empire troops were wearing tropical kit and uniforms virtually identical to those of the soldiers serving and fighting in the Western Desert.

Even some of their vehicles used in Malaya were still painted in sand / khaki desert colours...As they were originally destined for North Africa.

Here's a little taste of how well it can work for you. Hope you like it.

Best wishes and happy collecting!

Thanks Andy for answer my question. The diorama Battle in the bridge is amazing!
I see more new Japanese figure they fit well with the other soldiers. This gives me more ideas for my jungle diorama. order, my first Japanese🇯🇵 figures today.

have a nice weekend Regards Harry🇳🇱

Brilliant move by KC to move into the Malay campaign, allowing the cross-use of an already existing line like the 8th Army. Allows so many different opportunities to collect and for dios. It's a shame the Allies had no tanks in Malaya but there are Bren gun carriers and armored cars. And you just know Andy will produce the iconic Japanese soldiers and their bicycles. It will prove to be a great series. -- Al

Wow..very good point Lancer......we tend to forget that! After all the thoughts of the day were that the invasion would come from the sea....and that in the Far East the RN would be the master and the Japs had no muscle for a large scale action......how more wrong was the top brass then.....
One other item that could be released again is the little British 2 pounder anti tank gun, offered on a desert motiff some time ago and release again as some of the units had them in the defense of Singapure......another cross use that would be nice to have....
Cheers
