Hello here are a few pictures that i took today at the shop showing the 43rd Foot and the French 86th line regiments with a JG miniatures back drop.

So the column meets the line eh? A good way to display your fine figures.From what I've read of witnesses to a French column,the colour party(eagle bearers,escorts etc.) were usually embedded deep within the column back with the drummers,not in the first ranks which were usually reserved for the grenadiers.Nice scene though.

They probably would have lost a lot more colours if they carried them in the front rank.

I think the scene is missing casualties. I would like to portray a column dissolving at the front with casualties falling onto each other as the controlled volleys bring down the front ranks and causes havoc. Wellingtons favourite tactic, let the french attack uphill and have his infantry stand up at the last moment and fire devastating volleys into the advancing collumn. he used this tactic time and time again and ofcourse at Waterloo.
