I saw the BBC WW2 series on Amazon and was wondering if it is any good? Any help on this would be appreciated.
thanks

It's worth ever peeny and more. I can't say enough good things about it. It's been discussed here before; if you do a search you should find prior discussion.

If you mean the World at War I would second Brad's words, it really is excellent, I have it and feel very happy to have it. And another thing: today's TV is light years away from it:(. All IMHO, of course.

I am currently re-watching it on DVD. The interviews are terrific and very revealing, especially with the personalities. Looking at Albert Speer denying his knowledge about the holocaust, Gen Horrocks on how he could have teken Arnhem, Gen Mark Clark on his great achievement in Italy etc. The haunting score is one of the best and Laurence Olivier cannot be bettered as a narrator.

I think Andy was referring to the BBC's History of WWII, not World at War, which is different.
