Beau Geste on Ebay (1 Viewer)

Pat,

Are you planning to bid on them? I'm still waiting to get my first set. However, these look rather tempting. Wonder what the reserve is.

Hi Brad,

I really haven't decided if I will be bidding on them. I am concerned about the shipping costs from Australia. Further, since Beau Geste figures do not seem to occur very often on eBay, I am uncertain what a competitive cost might be.

I have a suggestion for you. If you are definitely interested in these figures or some of them, at least, send me a PM with your preferences and I will make certain I do not bid against you. I may decide to bid on those sets that do not interest you, but there is no sense in the two of us driving up a price for each other.

I have no earthly idea what the reserve might be. I will be watching this auction very closely, however, to get a better feel for their value.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat

The Neederlander Militia set can be bought from Michigan Toy Soldiers for $126. Not sure if Treefrog has this set. If they do, it might be $116.

Pat,

I'm not going to bid on these. God knows, I'm spending too much. Plus, since I don't have any BG, I'm sure current offerings can satisify me.

Further to JR's point, it looks like Treefrog has some of these sets. Including the Neederlanders, the ones they don't appear to have are the F.F.L. Tiralleurs and the Patricios Guard.

Brad and JRSteel,

Thanks for the information. I usually check current offerings before deciding to bid on anything. You two guys just beat me to the information. Thanks for saving me the time and effort. I appreciate it!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat

The seller of these sets is back with buy it nows of around $60, about half the price of these sets.

Man they are all gone:mad:

At that price, it's not a surprise.

You better take a good looks at the sets BG just retired. They will be hard to find.

They are really well done, colourful and the subjects covered are very interesting. For instance, I love the new Carabinieri's Guards Camel Corps.

Pierre.

That's too bad but predictable. I just picked up a set of the glossy K & C Old Guard and I want to see how a set of the BGs would go with them.

No insult intended but at the buy it now price ($60) vs. the retail price ($116), I just assumed they would last too long, shipping and all.
