Beau-Geste.jpg Have at last found a Poster for the original "Beau Geste" film.....I have the film and the book and now my little collection is complete...The Two films I remember most from when I was a kid were ...Beau Geste and Gunda Din......dont make ' um like that anymore......."Sergeants Three"...I think was an sort of follow up to Gunda Din..but not in the same class .....love to be able to go back in time when no-one bothered to lock doors and the word "Terrorist" was something from a "Wolfman" movie...TomB

cool poster...I watched the movie last week...not as good as I remember as a child...but pretty good...you might look at Conte's website...he has some black and white pictures of Rasinoff and Markoff posted...

I liked the Guy Stockwell/Leslie Neilsen/Telly Savalas version better myself, remember it vividly from when I was a kid, loved that movie.............that, Zulu, Waterloo, War and Peace (Russian version) and Battle of the Bulge are the ones I remember most.....................

Sgt. Davineaux...Savalas was perfect for that movie...grear casting...great movie...

excuse me...Sergeant Dagineau

He stole that movie, his lines were classics;

Michael Constantine to Savalas "I think there has been some sort of mistake, I am horse soldier, cossack"..........
Savalas to Constantine "One more word from you and you'll be a gelding."

"My gallery of heroes."

"This way, the bullets won't bother them."

The movie had me wanting to join the French Foreign Legion when I was a kid until I found out how hard and brutal it really was. But then again kids want to do anything. So I settled on buying a Box of Britain's Arabs and Legionaires.
