I have a JJD limber with the arms slightly bent. Any special tips for bending them back or is it just a case of slowly and gently? Thanks.

If it's made out of resin, you can try softening it up in warm water. When it cools down, the material should go back to being rigid. If you try to bend it while its cold, it may very well break.

I have never tried it...but have heard some people have used a hair dryer to soften the resin...

Evening Simmo ... Are you referring to the JJD BCHLIMB-01 item?

If you are then there is "SUPPOSED to be a slight bend in the two long arms on the limber. I have two and checked both to verify.

I didn't get out a compass but I might guess 10 degree angle? :rolleyes2:

I would not use a hair dryer since you can't direct the heat to only a tiny area to be shaped.
I build model ships that have many metal and resin parts. The hobby trick is to lay a soldering iron on a safe surface. Hold the item to be warmed about 5" or so about the tip and gently rotate for a few minutes, keeping that one point over the heated tip. For big adjustments, it is best to do the shaping over a few times, allowing the metal/resin to cool.

Good luck.
