All you Panther and Berlin fans and experts. I found the attached 1/35th scale dio on the web and am interested to know if the Germans used such a thing in their defense of Berlin in '45?

They sure did, dropped them right into the street itself. Also were used on the Gothic Line in Italy..............

I have also read they used an old ww1 tank as a pillbox in front of the
Reichstag .

This must have been of limited use unless the Russians were kind enough to stand exactly where it is pointed. I assume it could not be turned and, detached from the tank, they probably could not raise or lower the gun.

Wow

That is so interesting - I had no idea those were used in such a way.

Always learning on the Treefrog :D

The gun in most cases could used just like it should. Being detached did not stop it from normal operations all they needed was a power source.
