Greetings All,
First Post. I would like to build/buy a Little Bird transport configured chopper and am having a hard time putting together the best starting point in terms of the aircraft and the troops.
Dragon used to have 1/35 MD-500 series choppers.
A company by the name of KiTech has what purports to be a 1/24th model.
Revell has 1/32nd OH-6.
BBI has 1/18 MH-6.
My problems:
1. The 1/18th chopper is gonna be huge, even for an MH-6. Also the ones I've seen all appear to have bush skids whereas the ones in the movie had what I recall as short versions.
2. I cannot find any 1/18th, period 1992-93, Delta Force soldiers (at least not as they looked in the film). I can find a night infiltration version in all black with an MP-5/M92 pairing. But none with tan BDUs and railed M4 with black equipment.
3. All the other kits, particularly the Dragon ones, seem to have gone OOP and are very hard to find, even on EBay.
Anybody done one of these and care to supply some advice?
