After WWll and metal Dimestore figures were being phased out in favor of plastic figures like Marx and Beton companies. These Beton figures were my favorite when I was small. They were made by the millions by the New Jersery Company in the 40's and 50's and sold everywhere. About 3" tall and came in an early oval flimsy stand which was replaced later by the square rectangle stand and finally by a one piece peanut shape stand. The rectangle stand was my favorite. Figures could stand on carpets and elsewhere. Leadmen
Here are some of the Beton/Bergen army men. Officer with gas mask, flamethrower and radio man hard to find nowdays.

Those are neat figures! You sure do have an interesting collection. What is the average price for figures and what is their identifying mark look like?

John,

What marvelous figures! They look Brand new. The colors are bright and vibrant. Have you repainted or touched up any of the figures?

I, too, remember these figures from my childhood. I guess that means we both belong to the same generation. Thanks for sharing the photographs. I love the diversity of your collection!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat

Pat: These figures were not repainted or touched up. Beton figures seem to hold vibrant colors very well. KV the prices are usually a dollar to five bucks each. Some rarer ones will be $25.00 or more. They are easy to find at shows. Check my Nappy pic under Historical revisions. Leadmen
KV ID marks on stand say Beton/Bergen or a BT logo

Did you get any of those from me?

I had a lot of them in original boxes listed some time ago.

I have many hundreds of the NOS soft plastic carded sets if anyone is interested. They are a lot of fun - especially in time capsule condition.

Gideon.

No I picked most pieces a little at a time. Wish I knew when you had the hard plastic guys for sale. I do have some soft plastic guys I got from Bill Lango. Leadmen

The sets I had were amazing - in their original presentation boxes.

Also, I had an original case pack of the farm sets - the original bergen/beton shipping carton and complete contents. A museum picked that one up some time ago.
