Early in December Treefrog Treasures will be receiving an exclusive, very limited edition Figarti M3 Stuart Tank. When I say limited, only 30 will be made.

This M3 served during North Africa in WWII

Details added not on the normal M3 tank include:

Two front side machine guns (very detailed)
Metal Cable running across Tank main body
Very Rustic and dirty livery showing age and wear

The tank will be numbered on the bottom 1/30, 2/30.......30/30 and will have Treefrog Treasures Exclusive printed on the back as well.

You can pre-order it at http://www.treefrogtreasures.com/A0000.shtml

Enjoy!

I should have mentioned that since these Figarti Tanks will be numbered in sequence, the earliest pre-orders will get the earliest numbers.

What's the scale? 54 mm? Too bad it's not in British markings.

Treefrog Treasures Figarti tanks

For those of you who ordered the limited edition Treefrog Treasures Figarti tank we thought we'd give you an update. We have seen the finished product and they are beautiful. They come in stronger packaging than previous Figarti tanks (this stronger styrene packaging will be the new norm for Figarti vehicles) and we expect to be able to ship them out next week.

Hmm. I thought you said they were in and you'd be shipping this week.

They are in, we're just waiting for the numbered plates to arrive by FedEx.

I just recieved my tank today and its even better than the pictures. Very pleased. :D

Hi Louis,

These sold out in about 10 days and although we have a waiting list if anyone should decide not to take theirs only 30 were made so chances are slim to get one now. In retrospect we should have had more than 30 made, but since we were new to Figarti we had no idea what the interest level would be.
Now we know for next time!

Louis,

These tanks are a little fragile. I received one but had to return it because two parts broke. My inclination in the future will only be to buy their tanks at shows.

Brad is it quality of product or the way they are packed that you think might be the cause of breakage?

I bought one of the regular production Figarti Stuarts at the Chicago show. Maybe I should dig out the box and make sure it made the trip home okay.

It seemed well packed to me and they apparently have improved their packaging according to what I've heard. It just may be brittle. I have heard that people did have trouble with the original Stuart.

Hi Guys,

We have had problems with our tanks when shipping overseas and the problem normally gets worst when dealer take it out of the bulk case box and ships individual tanks by itself. We are addressing this issue at the moment.

If you ordered the Treefrog "Exclusive", you will notice a major change in packaging (Gone to a molded poly-foam box) which after several drop tests in Shanghai showed pretty good cushioning. However, that being said, our tanks are a lot more detailed than others and the manufacturing process is very different than K&C and others, so it is a bit more fragile. But no excuses, we will work on this and improve the situation. Thanks Brad for your comments, thanks Louis for showing interest in Figarti and where is Steven, our #1 critic ,haven't heard from you in a long time!

The Treefrog "Exclusive" is a rare item and there is no more (Except the showroom sample I have here in Shanghai). I took this tank to London and it received positive response. What we will are trying to do with our M3 variations is NOT to simply have different paint jobs but to make the variations actually different with added details. Those of you who bought the orginal M3 Stuart shown in Chicago, the 1st edition is gone, we are shipping 2nd editions now with slight improvements as well as added details.

While I am here, let me update you on some other new items coming. The reason why I have not posted the M3 "Honey" online is because after the London show, we decided to further improve that tank. I personally think this is the best of the M3 series so far and I will be posting photos end of December. We will only be making 299 of the "Honey" worldwide (All Individually Numbered) and will launch it mid-January. We will also be launching 5 new sets of Iraq US/British troops, its a nice collection to go with the first few sets we launched.

I hope to announce "Retirements" from our current product line sometime before end of the year. For those of you who bought "China Battlefield", you are a rare few (We melted everything down). But sentimentally, that was Figarti's start, a subject matter my Father thought of. I hope many years from now that I can see it auctions off on ebay as a collector's piece.

Well, want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

PS- Jan 4th, I will be at the Rose Bowl! GO TROJANS!!!!

Hey Rick,

Want to sell that factory sample of the special Treefrog Stuart? Send me a private message with a price if you are interested. I am definitely going to buy one of the Honeys when they become available.

Regards,

Louis

Sorry Louis,

Promised Shannon and Pete only 30 worldwide (Not including my one priceless sample which is not for sale). Maybe ask Steven, I think he bought two, and I think there are others as well.

Warmest Regards & Merry Christmas,

Rick

Rick,
Just received my Limited Stuart and have to say that Figarti just raised the industry quality scale on armored vehicle models. I'm not sure about the fuss about fragility. This tank has a solid heavy feel. Sure you can see underneath the tank when viewing it from the sides but you could on the real ones too!

I had seen the pictures of this tank and thought that the model had an awesome weathered paint scheme but the truly remarkable quality of this tank is the extra attention to detail of even the most minuscule parts: lift rings, compartment handles, swivel tow rings (that really swivel), even the bottom of this tank is detailed with plates and rivets.

I like the way the accessories fit on this tank; they are very secure but you can see light between the contoured parts like the shovel on the back and the M2 tripod attached to the front, giving a much more realistic visual effect.

The most astonishing feature of this tank is the detail of the tracks and roller assemblies. No molded parts smothered in a shroud of sculptured mud to hold everything in place. Instead the road wheels and drive sprockets are individually made and fitted into the Bogie assemblies (road wheels assemblies) and fitted into the detailed double pinned tracks. You can clearly see the inside sprocket spokes, the return rollers, the idler wheel and full suspension systems. This is the first time I've seen this detail in a truly three-dimensional aspect. You have truly set the pace on detail here.

I hope to see more models in the future with this level of detail. Kudos to both the designer and sculptor of this tank and to your company for putting out such a quality product!

Semper Fi!
Rick

There is/was a slight problem with the packaging, not necessarily with the tanks. The Pacific Stuart had some problems because the packaging was not as good. That has been improved as the safety packaging was improved. Unfortunately, the one I received had to be returned because of breakage. Since Figarti is relatively new about this, you have to give them the benefit of doubt. I'm sure Andy himself learned through trial and error. It's just part of the learning curve.
