A Big Toy Soldier Weekend is Coming Up, in the NYC Metro Area, on Saturday & Sunday, March 2 & 3, 2013 when two back to back toy soldiers shows will be held in close proximity to NYC.

The weekend begins on Saturday, March 2nd, when John Stengle, ‘The Marxman’s' New Yorker Toy Soldier & Military Miniature show and Sale, returns to the ADRIA HOTEL & CONFERENCE CENTER, 221-17 Northern Blvd, Bayside, NY 11361. We decided to make the big weekend a little bigger, so we had the usual Symposium Friday opening dinner here in NYC - Brad Lewin, Larry Lo, Rich Schuster and his lovely wife, Mark Hoffman, Morgan Hoffman, Charlie Zucker, my wife, her friend Janine and I had a fun evening of good food and good fellowship at my club, Tiro A Segno, this evening. The men will be meeting up Sunday morning to attend the Secaucus Show, another Symposium tradition. So the New York Toy Soldier Symposium may be traveling to London in June, but it is making a brief appearance at the usual time and place this weekend.:wink2:

Terrific show in Secaucus today. Got to see all the usual suspects . . . George Guerrierro and his dad, Matt Murphy, Nick from Crown Miniatures, Thor from Aeroart, Rich Dutkins, Ed Gries, to name a few of the dealers, Brad Lewin, Larry Lo, Rich Schuster, Mark Hoffman, Charlie Zucker, to name a few collectors. Met a gentleman named Peter, as well as a lovely couple, Larry Walker and his wife. Had a fantastic time. My first purchase was a Trophy WWI Searchlight Truck I have coveted for years. That in itself would have made it a great show, but I also found a Heco Tinplate Models RAF groundcrew set, with a lead on some more Heco Models. All in all I had a great time.:smile2:
