anybody watching Billions on Showtime...

it just started yesterday...Season 1...Episode 1....

they also showed Episode 2 as a bonus...
and are replaying the 1st 2 episodes several times this week if you're interested in the plot...
and it's on On Demand...
not too late to get started..

pretty good so far...

Paul Giamatti is the star...

U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades goes after hedge fund king, Bobby "Axe" Axelrod in a battle between two powerful New York figures.

Paul Giamatti as Chuck Rhoades, United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York. Rhoades is ruthless, and has a particular distaste for wealthy criminals who try to buy their way out of justice. Despite his significant power as U.S. Attorney, Rhoades is dwarfed both by his more successful wife, and by his well-connected and very rich father.

Damian Lewis as Bobby "Axe" Axelrod, an ambitious hedge fund king. He was the sole survivor of the hedge fund during the 9/11 attacks, and thus pays for the college tuition of the children of his former colleagues. He is seen publicly to be extremely charitable and generous, but in reality he is a criminal thwarting justice for currently unknown crimes.

Maggie Siff as Wendy Rhoades, M.D, psychiatrist, in-house performance coach at Axe Capital and wife of Chuck Rhoades. She is self-possessed, motivated and extremely successful. She has a strong relationship with Axelrod, her boss, but this is put in jeopardy when her husband tempts her with another job.

I'm sure it's produced well but not my type of show.I don't watch Homeland or Ray Donovan either even though they are excellent shows by all accounts.

Thanks for the tip, but I'll pass on a show about some POS who's screwing people in white collar crime and living the high life.

White collar criminals are the scum of the earth, they ruin peoples lives; I was screwed by a white collar criminal in my 30's, so I'm all too familar with how they work.......................

I watched it an enjoyed ep. 1
I love shows about POSs! :)

I watched episodes 1 & 2 last night. I thought it was good so far. I also like shows about Wall Street hedge fund manager scum. Makes you realize how screwed the majority of us really are.

Paul...

it's well done...

Giammati and his wife are quite the freaks in the bedroom huh?...^&grin

the dog poo scene was hilarious...

"well I would...but I forgot my plastic bag"...

"you have your fingers...pick it up"...

and was that really a cattle prod she was using on him?

this has really turned into a good series...

Paul Giammatti...
the crusading U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York...
absolutely kills this role...
he's a freakin' pit bull...
so shrewd...
the cat and mouse game he plays with Bobby Axelrod is high stakes...
the 1.9 billion dollar settlement is proof of that...
but when re rubs it in his face...
and Axelrod says we can make that back in 6-9 months...
you really begin to understand the big dollar deals they are doing...

the guy that plays Bobby Axelrod...
I finally recognized him from Band of Brothers...
he really pushes his arrogance on all around him...

glad it's been renewed for a second season...
this is now Showtime's biggest hit...
with over 3 million viewers...
it now outshines their hit series Ray Donovan...
