To the Navajo the Raven was associated with creation and light. To these troopers settling down after a day in the saddle a lucky carbine shot meant meat a welcome rest from beans for dinner that night. Unluckily for them the smell of cooking meat alerted a pair of warriors nearby to their own prey.

So many things working together in latest creation by the "Mind-of-Steve" ...{eek3}

WONDERFUL!

Great backdrop and arrangement. Reminds me of the stories of the Navajo by the author Tony Hillerman.

The story line is so perfect... BUT … the issue is I was going to have BBQ chicken tonight and now you scared me off.
Those darn Injuns' might be lurking about the wilds of Mid-coast Maine. The Navajo don't have any sacred HOTDOG beliefs .. do they?{sm2}

Ta Larry !
Never heard of this bloke, but will look up. No Issue with your BBQ, Only Mohicans round your way, who are more concerned about their love lives ! Long as you open your tins of Hot Dogs in a clockwise direction you're save ! If they're in plastic, watch out for Eco warriors !

Perhaps a Hornblower Larry tale will come again soon !

Hey when you are hungry you will go to any lengths to get a feed. Imaginative setup, excellent Steve. Robin.

Thanks Robin and quite right you are !

Such as joyfully eating Cadburys Aztec bars about a decade after they went out of production in compo rations !

Mmmm, they were good ! :wink2:

I'm convinced that a good backdrop greatly enhances a diorama and when you have interesting subject matter, you're on a winner. Liked the other scene as well. Regards Greg.

Always good to find another use for holiday snaps !
Think it was about twelve years ago, I did a coach (Bus) tour of a few of the US National Parks from Mount Rushmore across South Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Arizona and Nevada. Great trip. Most memorable, Yellowstone ! Such a fantastic place to visit !

Great scene Steve ! Another fine range of warriors that's Andy has dreamed up!
I watched the film "Hostiles" last night, featuring great acting by Christian Bale and Wes Studi - good film, thoughtful but interspersed with the shocking violence of the time. A Western with PTSD as a theme- interesting combination, also features some absolutely spectacular scenery - worth watching for sure !
