NEW NAPOLEONICS!{sm3}{sm3}{sm4}

I received the winter catalogue and standard over the weekend and was very pleased to see the Black Brunswickers have arrived in force as promised.

These are very nice sculps and poses and will look great alongside the red tunics of the other allied troops at Waterloo.

There are also four additional 44th to add to the summer release which look equally nice.
I love the guy looting the watch from the dead French lancer.

The Black Brunswickers were famously charged by the Red Lancers at Waterloo{eek3} Could this be the next big French cavalry release by WB^&cool? I hope so.

Agreed, this is a great release, goes perfectly with the rest of their Waterloo themed Napoleonics. Can also be used for the Peninsular as well; between Britains, First Legion and JJD there is now a terrific variety of Napoleonics out there from different manufacturers that blend well together scalewise.

And Kronprinz too for that matter...........

This is great news. I hadn't expected it this early, but I had hoped WB would add to Hougoumont with the Brunswickers. And follow up with Hanoverians at some point. That'll help put the exclamation point on that series. :smile2:

We always thought it would be nice to add some Black Brunswickers to our offering and I feel that we have a nice selection of poses with this first release to build a good display.
As you can see this year we decided to fill obvious gaps in releases in the same year rather than waiting too long. Often a long period between a release can be frustrating if one or more figures sell through from the first wave before the second grouping is delivered to retailers.
The 44th Regiment of Foot now has a nice offering of Battalion Company poses to build a square along with a few Light Company skirmishers. This is also why we are offering a Corporal to the club members for this same regiment. All of the figures used together and in some cases with multiples (Standing and Kneeling Firing for example) can tell a good story.
I would love to go back and revisit Hougoumont in the future and we probably will, but there are other Waterloo related items already in the pipeline that I am sure that many of you will like.
I am looking forward to seeing some nice displays with these Brunswickers on the forum when they become available!
All the best,
Ken Osen

That is great news Ken, thanks for sharing, keep up the great work.

Ken,
It's great to hear that there are more plans for future WB Napoleonics.
I hope that would include some part of the Le Haye Sainte farm building and some defending KGL at some point.

I just wanted to add that I think Graham Scollick has done an excellent job on the 44th and the Black Brunswickers.

Thanks
Paul

I agree with George and Paul. And it's always nice to hear the Mfg. chime in with future insight on subject. Thank you Ken for taking the time, though I'm sure you're right up to your nose in work.

All the best

Joe
