It's plastic MARX world with facade houses and 2 dimensional trees so blue painter's tape makes a quick river. At around $7 for a roll of 60 yards, unless you are scaling the Mississippi, a roll will last a while. It pulls off easily. I started with 1 " but picked the two inch. Wrinkles add texture so don't sweat neatness.
