Anyone know what a fair price for BM06 (wounded grenadiers) might be these days? Thanks for your help. -- lancer

I bet you get some "varied" opinions on this question.

Some will make some people happy and some will make some people angry.

A "fair price",

I think a fair price would be around $200,

A good deal would be less than $200..

There are lots of deals out there from time to time.

I started late collecting Jenkin's Battle of Monongahela and have done pretty well.

I'm still missing a few sets, but I will learn to live without them.

The Collector's Page on Treefrog has someone unloading all his Jenkins right now and BM06 is included in it.

You will probably pay more on Ebay, as they draw a bigger audience than just Treefrog members.

Personally, I love Ebay shopping, I just bought a Britain's Civil War Wagon yesterday and I think I got a good deal..

Considering how rarely they (BM06's) appear for sale, I think $200 would be a "fair price".

Mike, I knew I was opening a can of worms with the word "fair". I really meant the informed, educated collector, ie. forum prices. Evil-bay is not something I care to get involved in and I realize the e-bay price will be higher. I have seen the prices that are being asked for the early JJD releases and all I can say to those who buy at that level is "more power to you". Those prices are WAY beyond anything I would ever consider, or could afford, spending on a set of 3 toy soldiers. Still, I would like to have them. Thanks for your input. -- lancer

Hey Al,

before you buy or sell one,

why don't you wait for some more replys on here.

I'M NO EXPERT,

but I know what I have paid in the past and recently for vintage BM's, VM's and FM's.

Nobody probably wants to touch this thread, lol,

nobody is going to please everybody by posting his opinion on this one,

regardless of what they say.

However,

I think if you wait just a bit before buying or selling,

you might get some more input here.

I sold a set last summer who is an informed Jenkins collecter for $220.I didn't put it on e bay or I might have got $300 at that time.

Al, I'm pretty sure you have seen the thread on some Jenkin's figures for sale.

curassier has an thread opened to sell his collection and there is a BM06 in there.

It's under the "Jenkin's" posts and under the "for sale" posts also.

The term "fair" is generally equivalent to fair market value and fair market value is generally understood to be the price at which a willing seller would sell an item and the price that a buyer would pay for an item.

In some cases this can be a low amount or a high amount. If a buyer only wishes to pay $150 for an item but can find no sellers at that price, that is not its FMV. On the other hand a willing seller will sell an item at $300 and a willing buyer will purchase it at $300, that is it's fair market value or fair price.
