I am off to Bolivia for a few days - signing some new clients and check out the new KING AND COUNTRY STORE for South America :D

Has anyone been to LaPaz before? First time for me.

Anyway - I leave Sunday and NAPOLEON will be gone for a week  - I know you will miss me  ;) :p

Ron,

I'm jealous. I never lived in La Paz but did live in Uruguay and Brazil when I was a kid. I know you know that La Paz is way above sea level so don't exhaust yourself. Hope you get to see some of the sights. Take some photos if you can. Have a good trip.

Brad

I will shoot some photos for you. The word is LaPaz is the highest Capitol City in the World - I think around 12,000 feet - it should be an interesting trip.

When you go to the K&C shop be careful of the white powdery packing material.

I've been to La Paz a few years ago. Met a cute girl there who was a tour guide and she showed me the sights :)

Nice place but you have to get used to the altitude a bit.

'Showed you the sights' did she mate?!.And did you see much OUTSIDE the Hotel:D

Have a good trip Ron

No this was back a few years before I was married. Nice girl but she had a really strange laugh that put me off!

I visited Peru as well which as I have a half Peruvian heritage was a bit of a discovery of my roots.

I walked the Inca Trail to Macchu Picchu and it still stands out as one of the most amazing things i've ever done.

LOL by the way she really did give me a personal tour of the sights of La Paz and it's surrounding area. You lot have bad minds :)

So Eazy - what was LaPaz like?

I am only going to be there for a few days - I have been snow sking in Denver on 6-8 K mountains - is it the same kind thin air or worse?

I'd say it may be worse. I went to the ski resort of Chacaltaya just outside La Paz. That's about 18,000 ft up and apparently the world's highest ski resort.

we trekked up a ways and it's hard work I can tell ya.

Make sure you visit it if you can. It's quite an experience
