Hi

with all the posts about Chicago 2015 - well here is my report on Bolton 2015, Lancashire, England. (went last Sunday 20th Sept)

lots of toy dealers at the venue held at Bolton Wanderers Football (Soccer) Club Macron stadium - they have up to 300 x stalls available on site.

I had a fruitful day picking up the following figures:

Britains Deetail American Civil War Cavalry 1970's vintage
Airfix 1/32nd Waterloo French Infantry (getting harder to find these days) and Imperial Guard/British/Highlanders - picked up x 45 figures in total for GBP3.00 only
Britains/Herald Swoppit cowboys - x 3 complete for GBP4.00 (found under the table in corner of dusty box)
3 x boxes Armies in Plastic for 1/2 standard UK price
Barzo 1/32nd Robin Hood set box complete for GBP5.00
Timpo solid Arabs bag 16 for GBP2.00 - not as common to find these days
Plus more figures by Atlantic, Crescent, Cherilea, Marx, Starlux, Timpo swoppits, Italeri and others.

In all a pleasant day out - most of what I find are on the top of the stall tables, but the Dealers cant fit all items on top, so I always check the space underneath.

It was a good show for collectors of trains, GI Joe/Action Man, Dinky cars etc... which in some ways is better for me as there is less competition looking for the soldiers/plastic figures.

The show is held at this venue x 8 dates this year with another show in November & December 2015 - its worth going each time as I always come home with
a mixed bag of figures. They have a retail park next door with loads of cafes/restaurants/eateries etc...

The organisers have x 8 other similar toy fair venues around the UK throughout the year.

Regards
Dave

Hi Dave, any idea of next date for this show? Could you please keep me posted if you hear anything. Many thanks Alan

Hello Dave,
I have a reoccurring themed dream in which I have the same type of day you have described. It's good to hear of some one who has had the pleasant day you have had. Thanks for sharing that story. It's good to hear about the good times that others still can find with something so simple as a discovering some toy soldiers in the corner of a dusty box stashed under a table. Well done.

P.S. WOW I just reread what I wrote and yes, the meds I'm on are that good.

Hi Middleguard - yes its as simple as that - although I do have a keen eye after many trips to these fairs.

If you need anything that you might not find nearer to home then inbox message me and I can keep a look out on future visits

Cheers
Dave
