I was just checking Nik's website at ATS and see that hes venturing into the sand dunes with a new series of the French Expedition to the Orient, when Bonaparte lead the force of Frenchmen into Egypt in the late 1790's.

The first set of figures shows Napoleon inspecting an open mummy case, complete with wrapped mummy, and Egyptian seller? He is accompanyed by a Marshal, an officer and a private of the Demi Brigade, and they do look good painted in matt finish in the diorama below.

Lets hope that more figures of this period are forthcoming next year, but keep a lookout on the website.

I've been checking ATS website agin, and there are 2 new mounted figures that Nik has on show.

Napoleon on a camel.

A Dromedery Corps trooper.

I hope we will be seeing some infantry soon, as they has a very unique uniform in that campaign, but other forces are well covered, French hussar and Dragoons, and the British in Stove Pipe Shakos.

Napoleonics AND mummies?!! Ooooooooo! Does life get any better than this?!

What about quality of painting and figure details? I have never owned ATS soldiers..

Checking today on the ATS website I see that Nik has now added another 4 mounted figures to his Napoleon in Egypt Range.

They are General Kleber

and 3 Dromaderies

AND 14 new Infantry, the 22nd Demi Brigade - one example here:

I do like these colourful troops, and they will be a must form me, being an avid Napoleonic Collector.

Those camels look great! Wow! I just got an ATS set of Nassau Elite Infantry in the mail from Paul Herrmann. I will post a photo.

Here are my Nassau Infantry. I do like the ATS style, very different than Little legion (I actually think some of the sculpts are the same). ATS figures have more detail in the face and uniform to some degree. One of the top gloss figures, along with Little Legion, produced today.

ATS makes the best "glossy" Napoleonics in the business today!
Nik will make customer pieces (poses and painting) for no extra charge.
He covers the full range of the era from early empire to Waterloo.
I have bought hundreds of figures from him, mostly shipped to the USA, with no problems.
Unfortunately the weak US dollar ups our cost but still reasonable for the quality and uniqueness.
