Just like the title says, I am looking for a comprehensive, yet detailed, book on Napoleon's first campaign in Italy. I am trying to write a historical fiction piece so I would like it to include uniforms, maps, battles, campaign strategy, first hand accounts etc. Or if you know of a couple of books that pairs nicely to give that all encompassing knowledge of the campaign. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

If your looking for references on uniforms and equipment, I'd recommend Philip Haythornthwaite's Napoleon's Campaigns in Italy. I find the Osprey books particularly useful as reference guides for uniforms and equipment and for providing quick synopses of campaigns and battles, but you'll need a more detailed account of the campaigns/battles for your book. I hope this helps.
Cheers,
Brendan
