I posted this in the wrong place but just like the title says, I am looking for a comprehensive, yet detailed, book on Napoleon's first campaign in Italy. I am trying to write a historical fiction piece so I would like it to include uniforms, maps, battles, campaign strategy, first hand accounts etc. Or if you know of a couple of books that pairs nicely to give that all encompassing knowledge of the campaign.
Someone has already suggested some Osprey books which i will take a gander at.
Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

There are 2 excellent books on Napoléon’s 2 Italy Campaigns by Jean Tranié and Juan Carlos Carmigniani but they are in French. Not sure if there is an English version for both.

Thanks Grognard
I wonder how helpful French lesson 2 on Duolingo will be deciphering these two...
I'll look and see if they have any English translations!

wow that was remarkably helpful! I found a good one and another that I will have to add as well! Thanks a bunch!
