Boxed Diorma : a master (1 Viewer)

Great link Mirof, thanks for posting it.

I went straight to Shep Paine's section. Hard to pick a favourite but I like Meeting of Admiralty Board. Naval fans will like his work as quite a few set inside ships.

Recommend other forum members have a look.

Very impressive. I haven't been to a model show in years but I remember seeing a lot of dioramas in old TVs in the late seventies/early eighties. For our younger Treefroggers the outer cover of TVs were once made of wood and they made for a reallly interesting diorama.

great site..I found it age's ago surfing the net but lost the ref...good to find it again....like your bit about the old TV sets and the dio inside....actually saved an old modern..plastic TV and removed the the tube etc for storage,,,,,have an old PC monitor ...12 inch screen which I am still using with a very old PC (Have a high powered PC I use every day for game's but the old PC and operating system is fun to use now and again).....I am replacing the old PC with a more modern second hand PC with the XP operating system ( Windows 7 will not play a lot of my old PC games ).....when my Xp...PC...is reconditioned and ready to go,I will think about de-nuding the old monitor and setting up a dio in it......thanks for the idea...TomB.......PS.....come to think of it.....I have a spare monitor as well ..I will dig that out and fiddle around.
