20 cm Flak Box.jpg A simple boxed diorama using a pre-made small open diorama ,,, using plasticine as background and a few paddle pops....time less than 2 hrs..... all that forum members with pre made background's...buildings..etc....have to do is pop everything into a cardboard box.....Okay...aint that simple...but it is not hard to do......and...I think you would agree...it does do something for the small dio......just a suggestion......Hey...Hey...a boxed diorama ..is a portable diorama....take it with you next time you have a few beers with your collector mates...cheers TomB

I think small boxed dios with a glass front have the particular advantage in that they are easy to keep free of dust. Of course you can have a large cased dio but those big acrylic covers are very expensive and if space is an issue you can have a greater variety of small box dios. They can be stacked too.

Agree.....a small existing dio could take up ..a square foot....how many box dioramas could you stack up in that space...the ceiling would be the limit.....a good strong carboard box is all that is required.....A nice wooden box would look better....there must be a lot of collectors who have large dioramas set up,,,there is no need to disturb them..or any other stuff they have done..I am not suggesting that....all I am suggesting is a bit of hand' s on.....an old card board box...a few spare figure's and lots of fun......get involved with your own collection.......only a suggestion......thanks for the interest...regards TomB

This idea is awesome, especially for me since I have very little space to set up figures and create scenes.

Thank you for the suggestion. It's already given me some ideas of what I can do with the little collection I have.:)

Thank you for surporting the Box idea.....and adding the small collection idea...I did not think of that....you could do one Box dio or several box dio's with a minumin of figures......great idea..........cheers TomB
