been itching to do this conversion for a while - might do next one on an older looking limber for the dragons head cannon piece

Hi Johnny

quite a simple job really - the dragons-head cannon is a spare in the AIP British Colonial artillery set, so nothing special here just painted it up.

The figures are from the AIP Boxer rebellion set and tried to choose 5 poses that could be altered to artillery crew. The two with rammers were originally with pole weapons, so cut off the sharp weapon ends and fashioned sponges out of greenstuff putty. The man with the canister was given this from an Italeri Napoleonic French artillery spare part and the man firing the cannon has a cut down sword with fuse wound round the remnants (again greenstuff putty ) . Kept it simple and you get quick results to add to the Boxer ranks. Might try a few more alternatives along the same lines but maybe a more rustic limber or a rocket battery?

Great stuff - good conversions. I'm always interested in what others do to get to exactly what they want, and wondered where the figures came from. I'm a glossy man - but each to his own, as far as finish is concerned. I like what you've done with this subject - and will look out for your other proposed conversion in due course.
