Brick walls out of sheetrock. (1 Viewer)

Mike I love that, I,ve watched a bunch of his stuff on youtube before, he,s very creative and funny as hell to watch at work AH!!!:p I love how he gets started on a topic and wonders off into something else and never finishes talking about what he started talking about???:p
Great link Mike I,m sure the guys on the forum will learn a lot from this guy, I,ve thought about posting a link to this guys videos myself. He has his own web site that can be accessed from YOUTUBE.
I love how this guy finds a use for just about anything you can think of to make something out of and also a use for every piece of scrap he has left over.

I think I have a spare scrap of that stuff. May have to give it a whirl.

Cheers Mike !!

Plaster is great for carving detail into. And if you maske a mistake you can patch it and fix it with a little bit drywall mud or patching mix also I made a windmill out of it by pouring plaster into my daugthers little beach pail and carved the stone detail in with a little dremel tool.

I had thought about using sheetrock for carving walls and buildings also and even got as far as bringing some scrap pieces home from work to carve up and got as far as taking the paper off the sheet rock wich is not very easy by the way.
That was as far as I got though.

Tim,

I think the guy you are talking about is "thekamloopian", but I'm not sure this video is from the same guy. This video is "rational".

"thekamloopian" however, is hysterical to watch. Sometimes he opens his video with a big glass of scotch and rambles all over the place. I don't think it's his first drink of the day either.

Regardless of his method, he is extremely talented and has over 70 videos from making scratch trees to making glass for diorama windows.

He is quite brilliant and works with scraps (literally) to make the nicest products.

He is very funny to watch as he forgets what he is talking about and jumps all over the place.

You should post a link, I'm sure even the most talented of guys on here could pick up some great tips.

Mike,

That's a beautiful windmill, regardless of what you made it out of. Nice work. That's a good tip on patching a mistake too.

Mike, show me how it comes out. I might give it a shot too. Lots of sheetrock scraps in the garage from Hurricane Ike rebuild.

What would you use to glue the walls together?

I was thinking of trying like a liquid nails type method myself but I never got rolling on that project to give it a try???

I hate liquid nails, it's so messy.

Somebody will read this and figure it out for us, lol. :D
