I came across this whilst on holiday at my Inlaws in Wales. Haven't seen this before. This is issue 5 September 2007 and is priced at £3.50.
There is an excellent article about a Lancaster Bomber tail gunner who had to bale out over Germany at 18,000 ft (3 Miles) without his parachute
He passed out on the way down and awoke 3 hours later having fallen through a dense canopy of Fir trees and landing in a deep snow drift! The only injuries sustained from his fall was a strained back, a twisted knee and concussion!!
There is also an article about the 51st Highland Division, who had to retreat along the Normandy coast after the bulk of the BEF had been evacuated.
Anyone else seen this mag before?
Jeff
