Yo Troopers, just picked up a few of these 11th Hussars, from the Crimean range. Dont know how I missed these but didn't join forum until January 08. But I am well impressed with these models of Hussars, they are two piece but the Hussar sits on the horse perfect, not putting them in the Charge because they are slightly larger horses, made an exception with Britains Capt Nolan, because its just class, but these are not far behind, I know they made the 17th Lancers, and the 13th Light Dragooons, but what happened to the 8th Hussars and the 4th Light Dragoons ???. Just love the Gait on the horse and guess what it stands up without a plate lol. If your looking "Spitfrnd" what you reckon to the horse and tack, your the horse expert, would like to hear your views.
Bernard.

Have to agree with you Bernard it is a very nice looking figure. In fact I think all the figures from that series are nice.

It is a nice looking piece indeed. The horse is cast in a concievable although not usual position and generally has a realistic body and head. I think you made a fine addition to your collection.

I am no expert on horses but does the critter's neck look a bit thick ? It is similar to an earlier WB Boer war set I have.................Thick necked Boers on thick necked ponies.

Its a bit thick but not outlandishly so. You should see some of the necks of stalions that do a lot of correct work under saddle. Anyway, that is one of the reasons I said "generally" realistic.;)
