Britains british tank mark 1 mother male 08946 (1 Viewer)

The set I had, the tank was in matte green paint. The figures were glossy. The tank is a nice piece but I found the figures to be a little crude by todays standards. -- lancer

Many thanx to all for fast answers; yes I know you have it Lancer, and wish to sell it, unfortuantely you don't ship to France I think!

General Custer, My tank was sold some 3 weeks ago. As a cheaper alternative for a British WW1 tank you might try the Old Northwest Trading Company tank. They make a great product. It is probably a later mark than the Britains tank but the figures are nicer as well. JMO. -- lancer

General, I agree with Lancer. I saw both products at the Eastcoast Show on Sunday. The gentleman from the Old Northwest Trading Company explained to me that Britain's tank was an earlier model. Both look good, but Old Northwest's is cheaper. New, it comes with two soldiers and a scenic base. It can be had at Treefrog for $125. The same price is was being sold for at the show, I believe. I found it impressive. At the show I saw two second-hand Britain tank sets for sale. One was asking around $225 and the other around $315 if I remember correctly. The tank looks good but like Lancer said the soldiers seem a bit rough. They're cubbier than the later WWI gloss Britain soldiers. On the other hand, the Old Northwest figures are a bit bigger than the Britain figures. Maybe they're 60mm.

That's a fact. I own ONTC French Renault FT-17 Tank with two "doughnut" soldiers and it's really a very nice model. However , for the british first tank, prefer the model of W.BRITAIN because the wheels behind : I find it more characteristic .
