Did Britains have a room in chicago and if so what was in it??? Does anyone have any pictures?

Sorry fishead19690:

I met Ken Osen and Richard Walker during room trading and they're grade guys with a solid business plan for during around Britains. The lighting was poor in there room for photography and my pitcure didn't come out well at all.

I'm a big WWII collector but I was very impressed with there new: "Yorktown" American Rev series (a great redoubt diorama) and ACW figures with the associated diorama buildings was terriffic too.

I wish my pictures came out. Sorry again.

Carlos

I don't have pictures of anything. I took my digital camera with a dead battery. Other than that I had the greatest time.:)

Here are photos of Yorktown and Jackson in the Valley. In my opinion, the present sculpting and painting is better than Ken's first efforts with ONWTC. They are using a new factory that is painting the figures much better. I have the old North Date sets and the new British and French figures are the same size, though the present sculpting and painting is much, much better than the old sets.:)

Alex: I wish I knew your camera battery was dead. I bought a charger with. Not sure if it would work on your batteries. AA charger. Leadmen

I woke out of a dead sleep last night because I couldn't remember picking up my memory stick from my camera in the room. It ended up being a bad dream but I still couldn't go back to sleep for an hour:D

No, it won't work because its a special battery. Thanks John again and it was great meeting you.

Thanks guys for all the great reports and pictures!!! Did anybody get any pictures of the new britains napoleonic setup?

Hi guys,

Did the Britains folks display any of their new Victoria Cross Line or the Blue Coats line? I would be very interested in opinions of these sets if they were displayed. Right now I am pondering adding to my small Crimean collection. Any thoughts or comments on these lines would be great.

Dear Dave,
Britains did display their new VC and Blue Coats line at the Chicago Show. With the action poses, I thought the new VC line was similar to Trophy, but thinner with finer details. Britains has the details like straps sculpted onto figure while Trophy would just paint it. With a higher standard of painting at their new factory, I think both these lines are much better than Britains previous products.:)
