My mother and father are moving and she came across a box of my old soldiers- most are marked copyright 1971; its a real mix and match of US Cav troopers, gunfighters and some bandito looking characters. Most are in 'good' condition with minor paint issues so they are not mint or anything. Is there any demand for these old figures or should they go into my sons toy bin? lol

lol nevermind I see they are literally 'a dime a dozen' on ebay and that the SuperDeetail line redid them?

Hi
Their is a fair few Britains Deetail collectors around, the most valuable
from what I have seen is ww 2 stuff.Afrika korps kublewagon and sidecar
being a couple of the more valuable ones. Some of the mounted napleonic
figures also fetch decent money.
Check e bay for the going rates,I kept the vehicles aside and gave all
my figures too my oldest boy too play with and then bought a few more
beaten up vehicles to add to his' playing with ' soldiers.
playing with them is what the deetail range is all about.

Just a note on the "1971" on the bases. This is the first year of issue as well as the copyright for "Deetail" and that specific metal base. One can't judge age based on the year. However, age can be judged if the base is square (70s early 80s) or rounded (late 80s - 90s). Bandits or Bandidos were only produced for a couple of years in the late 70s. They would only be worth something on the secondary market if they are in mint condition or have the original box.
