I was wondering what everyone's favorite diorama of Britains soldiers is: I have three that are tied for first place in my book, although the first and second are very similar;

(1) Changing of the Guard (Britains set no. 1555) together with the Musical Ride (2085) and the Soveriegn's Escort
(2067);

(2) Queen Victoria Presenting the Colours to the Scots Guards 1899; and

(3) "New Britains" Charge of the Light Brigade.

What is yours?
Dick

For me it's gotta be the Hougomont/Waterloo line.
I just can't wait for the up comming Highlanders!?!
HINT HINT!! Wink wink, nudge nudge.RichardO.C.

For me it would be set 1477 Coronation display 75pcs (although I do not own it :( )

From what I own it would be

The Band of the 9th Lancers and my Trooping the Colour pieces.

How about the Queen's coronation set no. 2081 -- I've only seen one set and that was auctioned on Ebay last December. Of the approximate 212 pieces that are supposed to be in the set, about 10-15 were missing, and about another 25 were mismatched. The box had no inserts or trays, and it still sold for about $2000 plus the 18 percent buyer's premium. A very rare but beautiful set.

Yo Trooper Dick, its only thanks to Petite, that you can put the Light Brigade together, but try putting the whole of the battle of Balaklava together with Britains no chance, maybe the most celerbrated of all British battles doesn't rate with some people.
Bernard.

THROUGH MUD AND BLOOD TO GREEN FIELDS BEYOND.

Yo Trooper Dick, what about set 1477 listed on ebay USA, not in my book but says coronation set. The Britfarmer has just put his house up for sale to buy this set lol.

Remember, be careful what you pray for -- it may come true. There is a pre-war coronation set that was listed on EBay last night. And it appears that only 2 pieces have any damage.

Now you have to pray for the money.

Hi Dick

I saw that set its pretty nice!

Now if only I had a ton of cash sitting around:(

All the best

Dave

Thanks Dick,

What are the chances that set would be listed around the same time I was mentioning it !!! Too weird :)
