I thought I'd share these happy snaps I came across last night in some photos - not the best, as its ahrd to get a good shot of this store front, well, trying to avoid getting passersby in the photos is the hardest part in fact - a very busy street.
But a nice shop window display nonetheless.
Hopefully you can make something out within the photo's.:D

Very cool indeed! I will certainly take a look at the shop when we go to London later this year. I enjoyed seeing figures for sale in the Duty Free area at Heathrow so I can only imagine what they have at the actual store.

Don't expect too much Dave. I have been to Hamley's many times and every time I go there I see less and less toy soldiers on display.:(
Still a pretty impressive store.

If it's toy soldier displays you want try the toy soldier shop outside the Guards Museum in Birdcage Walk near Buckingham Palace. It's great.:)
Here's the link http://www.theguardsmuseum.com/Guards-Shop .

It was the Britains window display at Marshall Field's (Chicago) in the mid 1950s that got me interested in toy soldiers. I remember it still.

Great display and photos. Thanks for the memories!

Hi Paul,

I will be going to see our friends at MKL aka The Guards Toy Soldier Shop. Have purchased from them via the web and a friend picked somethings up for me there to save some postage. So I will be there for sure. But I will have to offer the wife and kids an olive branch and if Hamleys has something they like I am sure I will find something I like...;)
