Just saw this for sale online, titled Royal Scots Dragoon Guards. I've been trying to identify some of my soldiers by looking at the real life British Cavalry etc. and have only found black horsehair plumes on the Farriers of the Blues and Royals (Royal Horse Guards). You think this is an error on the part of Britains? The Life Guards wear red tunics and have white plumes and white saddle pads. The Blues and Royals have blue tunics, red plumes and black saddle pads. I believe this soldier is pre-1912 because of the "one eared" horse. I know Britains had errors, like the wrong color collars on some tunics that weren't changed for years. Is there a unit that I'm unaware of that looks like this Britains figure? Thanks

Sort of hard to tell from the photo, but he's second grade casting (which explains the one-eared horse), either 1st Dragoons or 2nd Dragoon Guards. Both regiments had black plumes. As far as Farriers... Both Life Guard and Horse Guard Farriers wear blue tunics. Life Guard Farrier has a black plume and the regular white saddle blanket, the Horse Guard Farrier retains the red plume and black saddle blanket.
