Hi Guys,

For those of us who live vicariously through the rest of you did anyone make any good Britains finds at the recent show. We have been bombarded with King and Country reports and Honour Bound discussions and even some discussion of NMA but the Britains front is strangely quiet. So lets hear and maybe see what you all picked up.

I have been a little surprised about that as well. With the quality of their latest releases and what they have upcoming I was expecting a little more talk about them. I guess they were overshadowed by some of the big events that have gone on lately. I do think they deserve a look though.

I can tell you that MichToy sold a fair number of the new W.Britain sets at OTSN. A lot of WWI and ACW and some WWII, So I guess somebody went home with some sets...

I purchased the following Britains at Chicago:

- Britains #17657 - German Kampfgruppe - 17th Waffen SS and 3rd Fallschirmjaeger Division Panzerfaust Team
- Britains #17688 - German 17th Waffen SS Division - Forward Advance Set

I've already purchased all of the other available new Britains US and German WWII prior to the show and like them all but I'm a big WWII guy. These sets are going well with the two new ONTC ETO 11 and 12 sets I got at the show too.

But I must admit after looking at the new Britains Yorktown and ACW releases at the show I was sorely tempted to start collecting those era too.

Hi Carlos

Glad that someone finally replied I know that the new Yorktown Sets will be big sellers and if I was a betting man I'd say the WWI line will also be very popular. Maybe not as popular as the ACW or WWII but I think they will do very well.

I know I am looking forward to getting the started on the Victoria Cross Series especially the Lancers which have a place right next to Butcher Jack and the other sets I have from the era.

Hope you find some more sets and like I lawys say if you can post a picture or two of the collection.

All the best

Dave

I am looking forward to the Yorktown sets. I bought some Redcoat glossy series figures and found two older Revolution command sets that I needed. British command that will go with my Concord Bridge set. Leadmen

I took these pictures in the Britains room. First, The Battle of Yorktown. Second--WWII. You can get a good idea of how all their new wall sections can be used:

Shannon,

Those are really great pictures! I visited the Britains room and viewed those dioramas. Your pictures help me remember the event with greater clarity. Thanks for posting them!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat

Thanks Pat. I usually take pictures of all the new items coming out but I was lured away by the complimentary bagels and juice (and the promise of a CD of images to be coming my way forthwith;) ) Yum!
