I have been looking at your photos of your vintage Britains sets, and can't belive how shiny and glossy they are. Do you collect boxed sets, and then display them out of the box?

I've just taken good care of them for over 50 years. At age 12+ I kept them on display in one of my parents' bookcases and when I got older I packed them away. I'm just unearthing them now. I use Photoshop to improve my photos in terms of color & lighting. Unfortunately I only have some of the original Britains boxes.

Amazing. When I was 12, I immediately cut the figures out of the boxes, tossed the boxes away, and proceeded to smash the shiny metal figures in small battles that took place on my bedroom floor. Now more than 50 years later, I am collecting the same sets but being more kinder and gentler with the figures. And, not cutting them out of the boxes!
