Hello,
Dan Lewis here; I am new to this forum, but a longtime soldier collector and buyer/seller on Ebay under the name "windpaint" , Positive feedback over +850 , many of those transactions in toy soldiers. I am preparing to sell my entire collection of Britains Swoppet Knights, consisting of 11 mounted knights and 36 foot knights, crossbowmen and archers. The figures are in beautiful condition, and most of the figures are complete; a few figures have a weapon or visor missing, but overall, a large and remarkable collection in near mint condition. They have been "sleeping" inside a box in layers of tissue paper for years.
Also included in the lot is a Britains catapult and balista, both plastic, circa 1967.
If you have been following the collector market on these figures lately, you'll know that these figures were made back in the 1960s, and appear to be the most valued and collectable plastic soldiers ever made; also the most complex and detailled multi-piece figures ever made. They appear rarely on the US Ebay listings, and in recent years, prices have gone up dramatically, particularly in the UK.
I'll be glad to get into specific details and close-up photos with anyone seriously interested. To answer the question "Why aren't I selling on $bay?", I am trying to avoid the fees, which raise the costs 12 to 15% to both buyer and seller.
Scams have become more frequent in online auctions, so let me be clear. I am a collector like you, and deal with my fellow collectors as I want to be treated. This is an absolutely honest transaction, and I am prepared to share all contact info, speak to you by phone about this unique collection, and provide all photos desired. If you were to acquire these 47 figures one at a time, with a minimal shipping cost of $5.00 each, your shipping costs alone would be $235.00, so you can see the advantage of acquiring an entire collection at once.
If you're interested in this really impressive collection, please contact me; Thanks!
