Preordering is now available for the Britains Toys Catalogue & Price Guide published by Toy Price Guide of the UK and compiled by Simon Epton, former publisher of Collectors Gazette, Diecast Collector, TV Film Memorabilia, Collect It! and Ramsay's British Diecast.
Published in Summer 2009 is this well researched 92-page price guide from the Toy Price Guide company covering Britains Toys including large sections on metal & plastic farm animals plus a comprehensive tractor & implement section covering the entire Britains range between 1890-1990 and includes prices for both boxed and unboxed items.
Containing dozens of colour pictures of sought after models and figures it is packed with market values on on over 3000 items, with several items never before covered and also includes all the diecast models produced including Lilliput; extensive coverage of the plastic ranges produced from the late 1950s including Herald, Eyes Right, Swoppets as well as some of the lesser publicised ranges such as Mini-Sets and Floral Garden. The guide has an extensive price guide section on pre and post war metal figure sets identified by individual box artwork covering military, civilian, farm and zoo animals.
Prices are based on items sold in auction salerooms or over the internet during the last 12 months and cover values from 50p for loose plastic figures up to £12,000 for rare boxed models and figure sets.
Here is the link to the price guide found in the new Books/DVDs section on the Treefrog website. This first edition is in the style of a mini-magazine and contains mostly text with several pages of photographs. Guide sells for $11.99 USD.
Be aware items in this price guide were produced up through 1990. If you are looking for a guide with post-1990 items I highly recommend Norm Joplin's Britains New Toy Soldiers 1973-Present by Schiffer Publications and sold directly from the author.
We are happy to be able to offer this useful guide to collectors.
Best regards,
